A. An Auction is a means to sell property of all types by verbal exchange or written exchange in which the property is offered and sells to the highest bidder.

Q. What does the term property include?
A. Personal Property includes Cars, Toys, Firearms, Antiques, Furniture, etc. Real Property includes Land and anything permanently attached to Land.
Q. What types of Auctions are there?
A. There are three main types of Auctions:
1. Absolute Auction: The property offered for Auction sells to the highest bidder irregardless of price.
2. Reserve Auction: The property is offered for Auction, the highest bid is "held" and then is presented to the owner of the property for confirmation or denial. The Seller is not required to sell the property if the bid does not meet his/her price. Please note that all Auctions held in Ohio are considered with Reserve unless otherwise stated.
3. Minimum Bid Auction: The property is offered for Auction and must bring at least the published "Minimum Bid" or the property will not be sold.
Q. How much does an Auction Cost?
A. Each Auction is unique. The cost is dependant upon some of the following factors: Amount & type of property to be sold, Commission, Advertising requirements, On-site or if the property needs to be moved, labor, etc. Please contact us for information regarding your specific needs.
Q. What types of Auctions does DAF Auction, Inc. handle?

We are a Full Time - Full Service Auction Corporation. We are licensed in Ohio and Pennsylvania. We are also licensed to sell Real Estate in Ohio with Century -21 Darfus Realty located in Lancaster, OH. We can sell anything that is legally allowed to sell at Auction i.e. Antiques, Collectibles, Real Estate, etc.
Q. We are not that we have enough items for an Auction or we do not want to go through an Auction, will you buy our items outright?
A. Absolutely! We buy single items to complete collections, Estates, Inventory, Cars, etc!
